James Staveley was born in 1804 to parents James Staveley and Jane COBB of North Cave, Yorkshire.  James married Ann SEVERS in York, St. Olaves, in 1846 where they had the following children:

William died the following year, in 1882, and the age recorded at the time of his death was 80 years.  William's wife Hannah died in 1897 at the age of 82 years.
