Muston,Yorkshire
William Staveley b. November 17 1819, is the son of William Staveley and Ann of Fridaythorpe. William married Francis PROCTOR on June 2, 1844 in Muston, Yorkshire. William and Frances had the following children:
| Francis STAVELEY | b. March 29, 1846 | Reighton, Yorkshire |
| Elizabeth STAVELEY | b. May 21, 1848 | Muston, Yorkshire |
Unfortunately, it appears William died in 1849, and his widow Frances is found in Muston as follows in 1851:
1851: Hunmanby St., Muston, Yorkshire, England
| Fanny STAVELEY | Head | W | Female | 27 | Muston, Yorkshire, England | Pauper Formerly Lab. Wife |

In 1861 Fanny's son Francis b. 1846 is a servant (Plough Boy) in the CROWE household in Grindale, Yorkshire.
Daughter Elizabeth is a House Servant in the CRAWFORD household in Filey, and in 1868 appears to have had a son William, born out of wedlock, and christened in Muston.

*Note that Frances' son John was born about 1863. However, his mother Frances has declared herself a widow since at least 1851! He is therefore likely only a HALF-brother to Francis (b. 1846) and Elizabeth (b. 1848).

| Fanny STAVELEY | Head | W | Female | 55 | Muston, Yorkshire, England | Domestic Serv (Formerly). |

Son Francis was apparently married sometime prior to the 1881 census, but is widowed by 1881, and living alone:

| Francis STAVELEY | Head | W | Male | 34 | Muston, Yorkshire, England | Farm Labourer |
In 1891 Francis is living in Hunmanby, Yorkshire.
Son John married Mary Elizabeth BOYNTON on May 6, 1885 at the Primitive Methodist Chapel in Union Street, Filey.
