Son George Robert Staveley briefly found himself in trouble with the law in 1875:

Petty Sessions - September 16th: George Robert Staveley, of Bewholme, joiner, was charged with indecently assaulting Mary Hewitt of Bewholme, aged fourteen years. The complainant is servant to Mr Robinson, bailiff to Mr Dixon, of Bewholme, and on the 11th ult. she was alone in the house, when the prisoner went to help her mangle. When the work was done he behaved indecently to her, and threw her down on the floor. The Bench committed the prisoner to take his trial at the East Riding Sessions.

B. Grainger, aged 7 years in 1901.  Although prior census records have indicated that Miriam and Rachel were "cousins" of Elizabeth BYASS, in 1901, Miriam is listed as Elizabeth's niece.

Rebecca's son, George Robert Staveley, married Harriet WILLIAMSON in 1877 and is living in South Cave in 1881.

Rebecca died in 1888 at the age of 65 years, and was buried next to her husband, Christopher, in Nunkeeling Cemetery.
