Daughter Miriam is staying with her "cousin" William BYASS in Great Cowden. Miriam remained in the BYASS household through 1901. In 1891 Miriam is listed as a "companion" to William's widow Elizabeth BYASS. In 1892 Miriam married Joseph John GRAINGER, a farmer from Cranswick, in Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire. In 1901 Miriam and Joseph are living with Elizabeth BYASS in Hornsea. Miriam and Joseph have a son, John R. B. Grainger, aged 7 years in 1901. Although prior census records have indicated that Miriam and Rachel were "cousins" of Elizabeth BYASS, in 1901, Miriam is listed as Elizabeth's niece.
