Another Staveley family is found residing in Richmond, Surrey by 1861.  Arthur Staveley was born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, and is the son of Miles Staveley and Eleanor GOSNEY.  Miles can be found living in St. Pancras (a pianoforte maker) at the time of his death, along with his children Eastland, Arthur and Ellen.  Miles' son Arthur married Eliza LOWE October 15, 1839 in St. Pancras, London.  Arthur died on October 17, 1856 at the age of 43 years.  At the time of his death Arthur was residing at St. Pancras Workhouse, and sadly the cause of Arthur's death was reported as "a suicide by hanging".  By 1861 Arthur's widow, and most of his children are found residing in Richmond:

1861: 7 Bromley Cot., Richmond, Surrey, England

Eliza STAVELEY  Head  W  Female 42  Lambeth, Surrey, England  Head ?
Joseph STAVELEY   Son   U   Male   17   St. Pancras, Middlesex, England   Errand Boy
Miles STAVELEY   Son   U   Male   14   St. Pancras, Middlesex, England   Errand Boy
Louisa STAVELEY  Daur  U  Female 9  St. Pancras, Middlesex, England

Arthur and Eliza had three additional children to those listed above.  Emily Sarah Staveley was born abt. 1841 in Middlesex, a son Henry Walter Staveley was born about 1843, and a daughter Sarah Baker Staveley born 1847 in St. Pancras.  In 1861 Henry Walter Staveley, a tailor, is visiting the BEEZLEY household in St. Pancras, and gives his place of birth as "Kentish Town".

Daughter Emily Sarah is a housemaid in the employ of Sarah BAYLEY, residing at Lime Cottage in Wimbledon in 1861.  Emily Sarah married William Thomas COX in 1863 in Richmond, and moved to Barking, Essex by 1871.

By 1871 Eliza has remarried to a Francis BREWER:

*Eliza's son Miles played just one season for the Surrey Cricket Club, and was described as a right-hand batsman.  He batted in both innings and scored a total of 3! He was a round arm right-arm fast bowler, and bowled 20 overs and took 1 wicket for 51 runs:

So a short and not terribly distinguished sporting career! Miles married Ann VALE on March 26, 1878 in Richmond, Surrey.  However, Miles and Ann have not been located together on any census.

Miles' sister Louisa married Richard ATWOOD in Richmond in 1872:

Louisa's brother Henry Walter Staveley married Marianne GARDINER in Tonbridge, Kent in 1876:

It appears that Henry and Marianne never had children.  By 1891 they have moved to Twickenham, Middlesex.

In 1881, Henry's mother Eliza is residing next door.  Her second husband, Francis BREWER, died in 1875:

1881: 7 St Johns Grove, Kewfoot Rd, Richmond, Surrey, England

Eliza BREWER  Head  W  Female 62  Lambeth, Surrey, England  Annuitant

Unfortunately this marriage was short-lived.  Joseph died in Richmond in 1882 at the age of 38 years.  No record of marriage or death has been located for daughter Beatrice Minnie.
