Hannah's daughter Lucy had died in early spring 1861, prior to the census for that year. Note that in the 1861 census Anne is declared as Michael's daughter, but the Wintringham parish registers shows she was the daughter of Michael's daughter Hannah, born in 1857. By 1871 however, Anne is listed as Michael's grand-daughter:

Robert was born in Hayton in 1828 to parents Robert Staveley and Mary CLARK. The family previously resided in Yapham, Newton Upon Derwent, and Scrayingham, Yorkshire:
