Elizabeth died in Orston in on November 11, 1859.
It should be noted that prior to Christopher's marriage to Elizabeth TAYLOR, he had an illegimate daughter, Ann Staveley RUTH, by an Elizabeth RUTH of Ackworth, Yorkshire. This relationship was made apparent when Christopher left ₤200 to his daughter Ann Staveley Ruth in his will. Ann Staveley RUTH later married Allen BOOTHROYD of Honley, Yorkshire, and had two children, a son Staveley BOOTHROYD b. 1848 in Honley (d. 1851), and a son Charles BOOTHROYD born in New York, USA in 1854.

Ann Ellen Staveley is the daughter of Eastland Staveley and his wife Ann of Walsoken, Norfolk. Christopher died two years later in 1873 at the age of 86 years.
