It is not yet clear exactly where the Staveleys of Coventry, Warwickshire originate from. The earliest christening entries in Coventry appear to be for children of a Robert Staveley and Elizabeth. This may be the family of Robert Staveley and Elizabeth BRAY who were married in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire on August 10, 1740:

John was buried on May 4, 1828 at St. Michael, Coventry at the age of 87 years. His wife Mary was buried two years later on February 7, 1830 at the age of 82 years.

Robert died in 1838 at the age of 52 years and was buried at St. Michaels, Coventry on November 28, 1838. In 1841 we find Robert's widow Sarah with son Edward living at home:

Thus far George has not been identified in any of the Coventry parish registers, and it is unclear if and how he may be related to Robert.
Robert's daughter Emma is visiting the household of John and Bridget CROWTHERS in Broughton, Lancashire in 1861.
Son Edward married Mary Ann PICKARD and is residing in Hulme, Lancashire in 1851.
Robert Staveley predeceased his wife Sarah by a number of years, dying in 1838. However, his wife Sarah is found in the Hospital on Greyfriars Lane in 1861:
