Robert Arthur Staveley was born in 1869 in Hayton, Yorkshire to parents Stephen Staveley and Elizabeth SALTMARSHE.  Robert married Mary HOWBRIGG in 1894 in Sculcoates and is living with his family in Danby Wiske in 1901.  Note that a son Sidney Howbrigg Staveley was born in 1899, but unfortunately died in 1900 at the age of 1 year.
